 Sikeres volt az orosz Szojuz-Fregat rakáta startja, ami az israeli AMOS2 műholdat juttatja célba a nyugati 4 fokos pozicióba.
Sikeresen startolt az Express AM-22-t szállító rakéta , ami a kelet 53 fokos pozicióba viszi hasznos terhét. |
| A 2. AMOS műhold 3 nyalábbal fog rendelkezni egy közép-európai egy közel-keleti és egy amerikai.

Express AM-22 is the first of five Express AM-series satellites that will be manufactured and deployed in GEO by 2005.
Express-AM22 is designed under the order of RSCC by NPO PM in cooperation with Alcatel Space. The spacecraft is equipped with state-of-the-art antenna systems. The contour antennas ensure optimal coverage and enable to use satellite terminals with antennas from 0.6m.
The spacecraft steerable beams have enhanced power parameters (up to 53 dBW). Express-AM22 will provide digital TV&radio broadcasting, telephony, broadband Internet access, VSAT service, internal and corporate networking, multimedia.

Express AM-22 mission was the fifth and final of 2003 for Russia's heavy-lifting Proton rocket. Three of the launches have been performed in the past month.
